Right, I've bought an SV650S because I couldn't do without a bike! It's a bit of a state, but I got it cheap! Most of the problems are aesthetic, which is nothing that a bit of time can't fix... and failing that, Mr. ebay!

Anyway, I was riding it home, did quite a few miles and it suddenly felt as though it was only firing properly on one cylinder (struggling to stay at about 80mph on the motorway and wouldn't rev cleanly). Then it started coughing, spluttering and popping flames out the exhaust. It clears through this and it's fine!

Has anyone got any ideas? I have an incling that it's the plug getting wet because it was ridiculously wet last night! And it might explain the flames if fuel is going into the barell but not firing. Just wondered if anyone else had any ideas?

I used to have issues with my sv all the time in the wet, then someone suggested I get a longer front mudguard not extremely pretty I grant you but at least it did the trick. :laughboun

And after it was fitted it stopped the water getting to the plug
