I currently have a Suzuki GSX 750F, my first bike. I have been riding for two years and wish I had started years ago. :)

I enjoy everything to do with bikes, like riding too fast (away from built up areas), have been to wheelie school but haven't tried it on the road yet, too apprehensive

I wouldn't mind having a go at a track day too.

Tark. not twin pipes m8. I have put an ART race can on it though. Car drivers tend to jump sideways when I come filtering through. Its even better if your up at about 7k rpm, flip the cutout switch for a couple of seconds, then switch it back on...unburnt fuel explodes just outside the can. Gives one hell of a bang and a 2 foot blue flame. 8)

Too late mate, Sept '02 I highsided into a telegraph pole. Bike missed the pole and just busted up the fairings a bit. I, on the other hand, hit the blasted thing and almost broke both legs.

Completely my fault. Was riding too fast for my level of experience. Thats sorted now.......
.......DEATH TO THE KNEE SLIDERS is my motto now. :D

I know the feeling, when I first got the bike it had Dunlop D205's on it. Get it leaned even slightly and you could end up anywhere. Soon as I changed to Bridgstone BT010's......even before they were scrubbed in fully I was leaning even further than before. Done about 3k miles ans 2 sets of knee sliders  Can even go knee down with pillion and it doesn't even twitch. Wicked tyres.

Elvandar
09-10-2003, 10:53 PM
you can be looking about £100 for front and about £130ish for rear. A bit less if you buy online and take tyre into local garage with wheel off bike. I recommend these tyres big time, or the new version the BT014's

Biker Dude
09-10-2003, 10:56 PM
ouch...my last set cost me £80 front £100 rear,,,,,but they were pirreli's for an RS125 so the sizes will be bigger too!

If you want to get BIG noise and flames but can't go to the expense of a race can, you can either......

1/ take you zorst off at the downpipes (sounds like a drag bike)

2/drill holes in your silencer

either way will get you noticed

ok anyone want to let me know what you are all going on about?!

Biker Dude
12-10-2003, 03:00 PM
we're on about makin me bike louder by takin the can off..but tim sed that it make 'em slower as he beat all the vfr with no cans, on the 1/4 mile drag at the bulldog!

Elvandar
12-10-2003, 04:21 PM
Yeah, would slow ya down. Lack of back pressure methinks. You can get over this by thaking your airbox apart to get more air in, then dyno it to get the fueling right then........

......ah sod it. too much bother, right?

Tark
12-10-2003, 06:03 PM
All that had to be done on the race bike. Cut the air intake pipes shorter, mod the lip in the air box, no air filter, HRC needles and jets etc etc, and an racing exhaust with R1 rear silencer!!

Biker Dude
12-10-2003, 06:06 PM
hell yea too much bother. i dont really wanna draw attention to me self. Rozza's get all trigger happy then!!

FingerZ!
13-10-2003, 11:31 PM
certainly do mate!

yeah if you start messin with exhaust you gotta do filters but then you gotta do fuel n jets etc - if not then you run lean or whateve rn hole pistons!!!

Biker Dude
14-10-2003, 10:36 PM
