Now the CG's back,
(see post: http://www.essexbikers.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=7176)
it got me thinking about how insurance claims work..:reading
Apparently they couldn't fix the bike as it was beyond economical repair, where the cost of repair was more than the bikes worth, the estimated cost was 150 quid...:grin3
Thats all fair enough, i estimated the bike at a value of 300 quid, and the insurance paid out 250, fair enough.
After getting the results back from my insurance, the engineer also estimated it at 300 quid making the thirdparty send me another 50 quid cheque (which will go straight on a damn valentines day present, the most stupid day of the year).:shooter
Ok now perhaps im being stupid, but wouldnt it of been easier and cheaper for the third party JUST to pay 150 quid to repair the CG?:grin1
Not that i care now to be honest, as they have paid me what the bikes worth, i have the bike back, i have also got a new bike, and ive got a pending injury claim, and they, have no leg to stand on other than there boring repetitive claim of 'he was speeding'.:rockon Which taking in consideration that the acceleration of the cg X the length of road X the fact i had just stopped at a giveway is physically impossible for me to gain any speed above 30mph.:clap
Going through the various junk in a cupboard i also found a spare CG headlamp as well.. so happy days! i can fix the headlamp... just got to find out whether the footpegs, indicators, and clutch lever can be bent back or need replacing. :grin1
Im also questioning this 'you cant have your personal injury money until your 18' bullsh^t.
Honestly wtf?? everyone ive spoke to can not give me a logical reason or a lawful reason why i can not have my money before im 18..
I believe Mickygixxer may be able to help me (please :grin2 )
Your opinions on all of this as well please guys!
