Well, thanks to some rather awesome training delivered by the fabulous Sean & Bert at The Link in Chelmsford (shameless plug for them but they deserve it! :grin2 ) I passed my DAS yesterday on the first attempt & only got 1 minor! :jumping2

I'd gotten into some really bad, lazy riding habits since doing my CBT last year but the guys managed to stop me doing them on the first day & they were even really good about it when I dropped their bike (twice!)

Was great feeling taking my L plates off to ride home but now I'm snowed in & can't take the bike out!!

Well done :D :D

Good feeling innit :D

I am sure the snow wont dampen your spirits just keep thinking about the summer being just round the corner and the amount of fun you are going to be having :)

I know, am so chuffed & can't wait to get my 'big' bike.

My other half was going to insure me on his CBR600RR until he heard about the bike dropping incidents & now has decided against it, lol!

Wayhayee Well done Ravs! Sweet feeling isn't it! The slow drain of andrenline after a stressful prep for the test. I remember it well. I bet you feel like a huge weight has been removed from your shoulders.

Welcome to the A-Team ha ha

Am leaning towards a ZX6R but not sure I can handle the weight/height as I'm only 5'4" & 9.5 stone. Don't mind dropping their bikes but wouldn't be a happy girl if I drop my own.

Maybe a ZX400R.

I quite like R1's.

Too many to choose from!! :grin2

Ultimately I'm going to have to go with one I can touch the floor on, lol.

Welcome to the A-Team ha ha

To be honest I've been pretty poorly for the last 2 weeks with this cold/flu type thing & having spent the last 4 days solid out on the bikes getting frozen I was just so glad it was over. I kept steaming up my visor coz I was coughing so much :grin2

Was amazed when he said I'd passed coz I was convinced I'd over shot on the emergency stop & when I pulled over just before walking the bike round in the road for the U turn I'd left it in gear so had to spend ages piddling about to get it in neutral.

How glad am I that I wasn't booked in for today?!

you werent out on Monday in the Stock area towards mid morning were you, 2 learners per instructor?

(i passed 2 groups of learners, each group had 1 instructor with them that was sat in the middle of the 2 learners (obviously observing someone on a mock run or something).

I did nod to all concerned as i was riding through towards Billericay :D

Wasn't me. I was out on Sat, Sun, Tue & yesterday :grin2

The student/instructor ratio was pretty good at The Link. It was 2/1 for 3 of my 4 days.

nice one ravensong :clap

don't be too put off by your perceived lack of height, there is normally a way round the height thing if you are stubborn enough!

go and have a sit on every bike you can park your arse on (including different years/models of the same bike) and see what tickles your fancy.

i'm five foot tall (and incredibly stubborn) and if i had to stick to bikes where i could get both feet on the floor, my choice would be very minimal.

as you get more confident you'll feel happier about being on one foot/ball of one foot/toes of one foot at the lights.

but maybe start out with something you can get the balls of both feet down at least....give us a shout if you need a hand, there is a wealth of good advice available from the girls and boys here :grin2
