Air Leak?

Just put my engine back in my bike, and got it started - but the revs just shot up, as if there was an air leak somewhere. I put the air filter back on in case it was that... and tried again (with the kill switch in reack this time!!! :shock: ) .. but same thing again... revs just shot up.

Any ideas?

My bro's bike has been doing just that ALL weekend!
It's a Honda MB 50.
We got it sorted eventually! it was just a matter of fiddling
with da mixtures on da carb and replacing a manifold!
I'm just praying that it doesn't do it again coz it's starting to do my head in!
PS: Is it just me... or does it start raining as soon as you touch a kickstarter?

Sorted now - it was a mixture of 2 things, the throttle slider in the carb was in the wrong way (and needed a little WD40 to stop it sticking) and the throttle cable juntion box had a few issues, which im still not 100% sure ive sorted completely, but the revs are down now so i might just leave it :)

As for the rain.... oh my god - i get my bike fixed, and it rains! there was no way i wasnt riding tho lol... so i just got wet :)
