I actually managed to unwrap my bike and introduce the tyres to some tarmac today!

And here's the proof :p

I have to admit the tyres work so MUCH better with the correct pressures :grin2

Well actually I always thought I had Michelin Pilot Power 2CT's but mine are just the standard Michelin Pilot Power's

As far as pressures are concerned I run 33 Front and 36 Rear and it seems to suit the bike well ;)

Cheers Dave,

How are you finding the Suzuki in comparison to the Aprilia ?

apart from a quick blast around the block I havent riden it , fitted new chain and sprockets and hel brake lines and trying to fit the race fairing at the moment :shooter it just wont go on nicely and its not like it cheap copy it came from BB plastics which perilous recomended , why cant it fit as easy as the aprillia one did :reading Im hoping to have it back on the road for the 1st march so wll be able to report then

and as for keeping the ape will you get as much enjoyment out of something else yours is really one nice bit of kit and to add to that as and when I can afford another bike my first choice would be another RSVR

I think in the most part people don't worry to much how the race fairing look just as long as they don't damage there road fairing if the unthinkable happens.

However that doesn't help if your like me and are a perfectionist. :grin2

I also have to admit my wrists are a little worse for wear today :( I was only out for about 3 or so hours and I guess thats what you get when you haven't been on a bike for 5 months

Dave, from what i have heard about BB plastics it seems that when they were taken over by SDC Performance the quality hasnt quite been the same, it was mentioned to us about the Ram airboxes yesterday and indeed Perilous had commented on it too, but i think its just that its taking them a bit of time to get the same quality as people were used to when BB plastics were doing it all.

I am sure you will make them fit and at least you can give them some feedback because unless they know there is a problem they can't fix it ;)

:)

The Prilla is looking nice Dal, i might just have to keep mine, you dont really appreciate them as much when they are sat outside, but when you see them in a picture it brings it all back to you :D :D

Hi M8 the fairing is quite good quality and does fit fairly well except were it go's around the expansion bottle on the left side I think a small spacer behind the side fixing and moving the dzus fastener back should do the trick , allthough they could pay a little bit more attention around the edges as there a bit rough but the more they do the more expensive the fairing becomes and if your painting it then its no problem to do your self

I rode all through last year, except when it snowed or the temp was under 5 degrees Celcius. So l don't have the luxury of the new ride season wrist ache. I took the bike for a blast 2day, just to get a good feel for what the 2CT can do. I must say that all l have heard about it were not hypes. It really is a fab tyre. It warms up quickly, grippy on the twisties and confidence inspiring on fast corners. Highly recommended! And thanks to Lateshift, Quickshift and others for a great advice.
