hi you lot. i went to the london excel show and bought a scorpion exhaust from a company called 'cans r us' on the invoice it says delivery within 10 days.....well 10 days is well up so i tried ringing them all day yesterday and all day today but no one answers the phone! so i rang scorpion and told them who i ordered it from and they said ah we are having a bit of a dispute and no exhausts and being despatched to them and that i will have to sort it with the company! what do i do? i cant get hold of the bastids! they have a website which is prety genuine www.cansrus.co.uk

Well your argument is rightly with the company, but now you know what you know it might be worth dropping MCN a line seeing as it was their show, to see if they can find out if anyone else is in the same boat, and also to see if they can lean on them ;)

if you paid for it on your credit card, take it up with the credit card company - if it was over £100 in value (i think) then they may be able to help you out, even if you don't have any of the purchase protection insurance gubbins....

update! MCN called me 2day and basically they cant do anything either as they cant get through to them and recon they have gone bust and legged it. They were pretty good though and took my details so if they find anything out they will let me know asap. dunno how im gonna get my money back!

The next step i would be taking would either be to talk to trading standards, they should be able to find out what the situation with the company is and at least let you know your next step officially, failing that on the bike and up to Lincolnshire ;) :D

maybe try making a "will this very expensive exhaust fit my bike" type request via the website? they are more likely to respond to that (as new business) than a "where the f**k is my exhaust that i've paid for" email?

Ah that`s Jago I think. If so- he normally does the shows and is at BSB meets , he has a display stand that is fitted in the back of his van!!don`t know him very well, but know somebody who does, will make a phonecall tomorrow and let you know from there ......hope it helps .......Dave

Personnally i would be thankful that you are getting a promise of the exhaust, as it states it may well be down to the fact that Scorpion have shafted them and they havent been able to supply (bearing in mind there are 2 sides to every story) :)

Also seems strange that the contact number will only be on for two days and only for two hours, it doesn't match the number at the bottom of the letter either.

I know this co and from past experience they are sound.

Ulceby near Louth is where they are. Not far from Cadders and if it is who I think you should trust what they are telling you.

I called Scorpion today and guess what!!..............they havent despatched anything out to CansRus for couple of months! they said there is still a despute and as scorpion cant get hold of cansRus as all the phone numbers have dissconnected there isnt anything they can do. Now what can i do?!

it's a signature strip, it's not set out in an offensive manner/explicit etc.
