Whats this?

Hi,

I found this thinggymabob on my bike, and it was annoying me because it looks sooo out of place.

It says oxford on it and there is an on/off switch (pic 1), it is connected to the battery but the other end wasnt connected to anything and it was just a couple of wires (pic 2).

Am i right in thinking that this is a trickle charger thing, in which case i can remove it safely.

I have taken it off, but the batteries out getting some juice anyway. but if i need to keep it on for some bent reason, i wont start the bike until it is refitted.

on another note, ive fitted my standard cans (boo, hiss), but they look so much better than the skanky carbon ones that were on there. they are staying on until i can afford termis. still sounds quite meaty though.

i dont really know much but i cant find an oxford charger which looks like that.... it could be anything, could just be for heated grips but they were taken off and the little box wasnt....
maybe someone with knowledge on them will know what iti is

Yep that is the wiring for oxford hot hands

oooh, that is such a good idea. I didnt think about that, it makes sense that it has 2 black connector ends.

anybody have some oxford hot hands that they need the spare wiring for.

free to a good home, i dont ride when its cold, plus i dont have the hand bits.

Wouldnt have wanted them anyway, bloody horrible bulky things.
