I know how to get to Boxhill, and have been there a few times, like going, but the trip there is mainly boring roads :(

the police presence at boxhill on a sunday is quite extensive , all roads leading to the place will have a speed trap on them at some point

Would it be worth going? :jumping2

I've been to Boxhill and IMO it is a pretty boring ride. More of a posers day out than a riders day out.

Boxhill is an experience, of that there is no doubt, just dont be put off by the sheer volume of Police if you are going to go there, they are all over the place like a rash ;)

But Kent doesnt just have some "nice" roads, it has some fantastic roads, some of them are far better quality than the likes of Burnham bends, plus the scenery is miles better too :)

Doodlebug organised a bit of a ride down that way that sort of wandered off course last year, and i know that Fall Off and Stu600 have done similar things down that neck of the woods too without any dramas :)

i rode down to kent a couple of years ago.

went to rye and back through hastings (i think) it was an amazing ride, i cant think of many to top it.

ive ridden in yorkshire a few times too, its ok. ive only ridden east though, so not sure on the rest. lincolnshire is pretty good. lots of hills, and some good bends.

go to boxhill a couple of times in a year...not too bad a route if you come of the m25 as soon as your south of the river..still not great though

head past brands and to the Oakdene cafe'. turn left, go under the M26 and pick up the A25. follow that ALL the way to Box Hill, Via Westerham, Oxted, Godstone and Reigate

once there i enjoy a ruckus burger and then do the boxhill -> buryhill and back
(a29)

not a bad little run... especially if you do a little loop toward goodwood

Try the coast road from Folkstone to Hastings, passing through Rye, thats a good day.

Yeah, that's the A259 I believe. Fantastic bit of road with hardly any trees so you can look right across the bends. Goes on for ages too. Lovely.:rockon
