Shame Suzuki do not spell this out on their website. It certainly makes the 750 Gixer interesting. I certainly like it in black. It would compliment my 2005 R1 very well l think, as a second bike that is.
Pazzoracing levers eh. Dead cool. Got those online did ya?

Stu, you would be suprised:suprised1 . The K7 750 is geared more towards the
1000 unlike its predesessor which were just a tad above the 600. There isnt much in it when it comes to stats on paper through the higher gearings. The difference comes in performance and when you hit the 60mph+ mark. The chassis has had the smallest of changes since the K6 750 and arent really a factor when it comes to out and out speed.:reading
I was out with Jetski yesterday and she was on her ZXR400, now her's isnt standard and has the biggest sprocket on the back Ive ever seen on a 400  but on take off - and in my case with the bike still being new Im trailing the clutch. She stayed with me no problem and on occasion was ahead of me, if I was to ride it like a hooligan I may have been ahead of her, but biking isnt a race or a competition, her particular bike can keep the pace and doesnt have the luxury of fuel injection etc.
But .... whilst others may have gone through the gear box a gear or two Im still in 1st at 60mph and then the fun starts, I found a lovely power band in 2nd at about 85mph on my first day out.:party2
Im not a technical bod on these things...I leave that to Lateshift:grin2 - but I have had opportunity to ride a varierty of different bikes and have learnt to feel the difference as we all do. My K5 600 was the old shape and a completely different ride to the newer shape 600's and being a greedy bitch I wanted a 750:love3 .
But I can assure you this, your bike has more than enough power/ speed / handling to stay with a 750 on any bends or corners:grin2 - and Im not talking about riding ability just purely the performance of the bike, but once you hit the straight....then it will all just become a blur:eyewobble , the Gixer is the ulitimate pocket rocket and as much as they love to corner they really come into their own when you can get it on an airstrip and hammer its cogs off!:clap

Shush, Micky, folk will start to think I actually ride my bike! LOL.
That 750 is a lovely bike. Micky could sit in one gear whilst I was up and down the box constantly LOL. And yes, that's a 48 sprocket :grin2. Need to give myself a chance against that beast of yours don't I lol.

blimey you sure your not a bit of a boff?! lol
Thats good to hear its not too different as my mate has just bought one and wasnt looking forward to him riding off into the distance everytime we go out. its his first big bike , he is getting on a 750 after having an rs125 for 5 years! oh dear god!

There is sod all difference to 100mph between the 600,750 or the 1000 unless of course you can actually notice something like the sub 1 second times required to show the real difference between them ;)
The 600 just uses more revs to do the same as the other two, the 750 has gearing more closely matched to the 1000 which makes it less "revvy".
We could get back into the argument about whether or not the extra power is actually useable but it really isnt worth going down that route because until you start getting above 130mph the 600 will keep up with the 750 no problems and it wont be particularly far behind the 1000 either.
The one thing the 600 will do will that the others wont without a good steady throttle action is be able to use its revvy nature in the corners, carry more corner speed and without the bigger risk of throwing the back wheel out (although the risk will still be there).
Your mate might be getting a 750 but i wouldnt worry about him whooshing off into the distance, not unless he is a far more capable rider than you to begin with :)
