Hi guys, I have been reading this forum for about a month now. I have just completed a top end rebuild and someone told me not to forget to bleed the oil(2 stroke) as this is why it seized in the first place.

As i have done all this. i got the bike running but for only about 3 minutes before it sounded like another sieze. Now it wont turn over due to piston stuck (Ithink) is there anything i can do to stop me from stipping it again.:jumping2

Maybe a little oil in through the plug and try and crank it by hand to get some lubrication in there it may save it?

Im not an expert wait a bit there a few on here:jumping2

Ifthe engine is out the bike, turn it over by getting a socket and long handle on either end of the crank (clutch or genny end)

If the engine is ion the bike, take out the spark plug, pour a little oil in the hole and then turn the engine over using the starter.

However I suggest you check that the oil pump is working correctly, and that you are getting enough oil into the petrol. perhaps to rule it out premix your oil first!

Thanks m8, i have got the barrel off at mo but the new problem is when i press the starter it just clicks and with no kickstart im havin a spot of trouble turning it over. it turns over when bumping it off but its rather tight and have to do it in second. however im really unfit and 1 run up the road and im wacked. :)

any ideas as to why it just clicks when i hit the starter, someone else said maybe battery dead, it sounds fine. bit im not upto date with electronics.

thanks in advance:grin3

To test the starter you can try bypassing it by keying the ignition as if you were about to turn it on and then bridge the terminals on the starter relay, if its broken (as in just clicks) then bypassing it by bridging it should start it.

I havent got a picture per say, but on the starter relay there will be two connections, you need to bridge them (dont go anywhere near the battery).

if you think of the relay as a switch that brakes the live circuit from the battery to the starter motor, all's you are doing is bridging that to take it out of the equation.

I am out all day today but i will see if i can knock something together later in the form of a diagram if anyone else hasnt jumped to your rescue :)
