many thanks to Dave (bigbikefan) for the stunning paint job - i gave the tank and belly pan a go with the crystal glo on friday before putting all the sponsor stickers on and the whole thing just looks amazing now.

hard to believe it was a total rust bucket when i first got the bike!

Poke it Polden! :D

If i had thought about it i should have brought the piece of fairing back with me that i found out there, i am sure it was one of yours from a few years ago :D ;)

yeah i am fortunate that mine was a track bike and i really didnt have much to worry about :D

Bike

Rearset - repaired
R&G bung - repaired
Clip on - new from Harris £11.18 :D
Exhaust - new racer look, stylish dink in swingarm but not too shabby :D
Fairing - few minor cracks, removed and used as an excuse to drop off with Gary for a full respray :D

If anything it actually motivated me into making the bike my own :D

Body

Aching :D

Lessons learnt

Dont fix things that arent broke
Trust steering dampers, people put them on bikes for a reason
Dont go out for that last session and try to get lairy
Dont use brakes on grass unless (you are rapidly approaching a big sand pit! :D )
Dont walk round commenting on other peoples crashes during the day and happily point out that if its going to happen it feels like its going to be today :D

Anyway its all good fun :D

But unfortunately as i am up at Snett from Friday through till Sunday i wont get to watch the race but best of luck, you wont need it, just enjoy it :)

:grin2 :grin2 :grin2 I wouldn't be at all surprised. You could probaly find bits of my body work, bike or fingernails at most circuits I've been too. :grin2 Oops just been corrected, that'll be all the circuits I've been to. :grin2 :grin2

Be careful it seems to be catching.:grin2

Yes butI hope you did all that in time to get it re-scrutineered and out for the next race whilst at the same time getting a Cagiva Rupture out on track.;) :D

Anyway back to Harrie's thread.

Just remember to come in grinning Harrie, anything else is a bonus.;)

AND DON'T SCUFF THAT NEW PAINTWORK!:grin2

thanks, Dave/bigbikefan has given me the perfect excuse for being slow - gives everyone a chance to check out the gorrrrrgeous paint job :clap

i like it, so i'll stick with that one!

seriously.....the lap times round mallory weren't great but graeme (fellow DD racer and coach extraordinaire) said i was fine on the corners but am losing all my time on the straights  i just can't whack the power on fast enough.

hopefully a race situation will help that along a bit. i'm expecting to be at the back the first couple of races, but yes i will hopefully be grinning like a loon. and by the end of the season i should have learnt an awful lot :grin2

What you need is some of Jule's chocolate, banana and pecan cake. a lump of that was worth two places at Brands. :grin2

Ah, your still an apprentice crasher, I'm slightly further up the ranks. Lets just hope we never aspire to Mr. Polden's level ;)

Harrie, you'll be fine. But if you do pay a visit to the Paddock Hill gravel chasm, could you look for my bottle, I seem to have left it there :)
