Went for a test ride on the new GSX-R 600 today :grin2

it was really nice to ride and the riding postion was comfortable too :clap

the only thing i didn't like about it was you had to keep changing down gear to over take stuff but then again it is a 600, over all a very nice bike

why did you have to change down to overtake stuff? if you keep it in the powerband it's got plenty there, all the power kicks in at 9-10000 rpm

9-10K though is hardly what you would cruise at sat behind a line of traffic.

especially if you are used to riding a Thou V-twin ;)

yeah i know but im trying to fathom out why the need to change down all the time to overtake.......mine picks up straight away even if im cruising around 5-6000? mind you i suppose beckys used to her twin so the powers more "ready to hand" i suppose....?? as doodlebug just mentioned

number of reasons really 1. it only had 196 miles on clock so was told to take it easy, 2. the fuel light come on half way through. 3. i rode it the same as the R6 and you didnt have to change gear as much on the R6 so i was expecting the same thing on the GSX-R:jumping2
