I hate peds (sorry to the ped owners in the forum, but the majority of ped riders ruin it for the responsible ones), but happen to like my brothers old one. He was only 16, ideal way for getting about.

peds arent really just for girls and they can have manuals - my cousin gemma is probably the best/quickest rider i know - she has no fear and could probably give tark a run for his money i rekon!

So the newer engines rev higher then. Does the older engine have a lower power band and more power low revs or is it just not as fast as the new ones?

The newer Tzr125r has better mains and a redesigned crank and pin and the fly wheel is alittle lighter not to mention the transfer ports are 5mm wider the port timing has been redisgned and the ignition timing is slightly more retarded, The Tzr125r is also made from much better materials which saves alot of weight which of course increases the power to weight ratio .

Although saying that if tuned right the Tzr will easily out perform a standard Tzrr until it gets to 6th 105mph max because the gearing on the tzr is limited and the aerodynamics arnt half as good as the tzrr's Which can do 100mhp in 5th so theres not much contest .. at flat out speeds
but straight line acceleration u may have a chance with the right porting and the right exhuast system .. ( MICRON )

That said my old Tzr has beaten my gfs tzr at acceleration (when its been running ruff ;) ) and has beaten every RS125 and Mito in the area but sadly loses at top speed and handling :( ..
