Hi

With all the decent bikes about on the list this may be a bit of a heap but it's mine! It looks better in the photo than 'in the flesh'.

Not sure if to get back into bikes (mid life crisis) and as money was/is tight I settled on a 1982 XJ550 with MOT/tax to Jan 08 which seems an ok buy. Have done a fair bit of cleaning it up but it starts first time and seems to go ok for a 25 year old bike.

Will get something bigger and newer right after tonights lottery win.

Anyone local to Southend who could give advice on old Jap bikes?

Looks a tidy bike, its got two wheels and moves, sod anyone that thinks its a heap, its looking pretty good from what i can see for the age of it :)

XJs, what fantastic bikes. my dad had loads of them and if it wasn't for them i might never have got addicted to bikes, it was the first bike i ever went pillion on (an XJ650, v nice and sparkly red to boot :grin2 )

Bugger off and find a forum for those that don't clean their bikes fred.
I have 3 xj series bikes at the mo and all would look filthy next to that. LOL
