View Full Version : Termi's or not termi's...
Well that is the question... (see what I did there... how lame?!)
Well, as some of you might have seen, I've just got myself a 748, which was advertised with having Termignoni cans on it, but I can't tell, so need some help!
My understanding was that Termi's came with a massive amount of lacquer on the carbon fibre, but mine are matt.
When I was at the BSB's the other weekend there was a 916 as part of a shop stand there with what looked like the same cans, so I asked the chappy and he said that they were Termi's, but I'm not convinced...
Please can anyone shed some light on this?
Here's a picture of a bit of one (it's the best I can do at the moment because I haven't intentionally taken any piccies of the exhausts, but I think it's enough to give an idea of what they look like).

Well they look like my mates and he has them on his ducati. I would have thought they are available in various finishes.
The main question I suspose is " Do they sound nice and are you happy with them" ?
If so then does it matter what make they are.

my termi's on my 748 were a matt finish too. i'm sure there was a little termi stamp on there too somewhere but i could be imagining that :grin2
from the shape of the rivetted bit at the end of the can (not the straps) they look similar to mine, and the straps look similar too, but can't promise!
the stickers were alerady starting to peel off mine when i got them and they were brand new, and phil's have done the same on him monster, so it's quite possible they have come off or been removed.
maybe there's a part number somewhere, maybe stamped on the end of the can just by the actual pipe bit, usually 98-XXXXXXXA or something similar (the 98 is the year i think)? have a looksy, worth a shot!
Ah right! Thanks for your advice! I'll have to have a closer look...
And yes, they do sound and look good, but I was wondering if there were any LOUDER ones! =)

Just done a quick googlie thingy and it seems that they come in both finishes. Most that are aftermarket fit have a simple sticker. Those that are factory fit from new seem to have the bike manufacturer's name and termi embossed as well as the stickers. Moto Guzzi ones all have this. I can't find any part numbers, ID plates on any pics or references to aftermarket versions so it is probably just the sticker. My latest toy has them and doesn't have any markings at all.
