I've got a lovely little screw stuck in the middle of my rear tyre...which of course is now totally flat, and the bike is stuck up on paddocks'.

I know there's more than one type of puncture repair kit available, just wondered if anoyone would recommend a certain one. I've got a tubeless 190/50 ZR17 tyre on the TL.

I've been told about a kit where you drill the hole, push a glued rubber strip into the hole on the end of a T-piece, then knot it up into the hole as you inflate the tyre. You then cut off the excess flush with the tyre.

Advice much appreciated cheers,

Ant

Cheers Doodlebug...lovin the fast response mate. Even if I don't end up using that kit to fix this puncture I reckon I'll still grab one to leave under my seat for next time.

No worries. I'd get the thing plugged by a tyre place if you can, but for emergencies it is a much better kit than the normal ones. You may have to phone up and order one, unless you are in London, then you should be able to find a stockist.

The repair I talk about in that thread is still holding strong, not that I in any way condone riding around with a temporary fix in your tyre, and whatever YOU do dont ride fast on it. What I do is another matter of course ;)
