We are still getting these people registering on here even as I type this there is somebody called huyvsemaab registering that has 'Man' in the Bikes bit, so the next thing he puts up is going to be spam.

Could it be made that if you don't enter a bike you can't register.

Surely this thing should be sorted out, it was easy to take away the Arcade.

That would be VERY hard!

It means someone would have to imput every single bike known to man incase a member has it.... plus the differences of how bikers are written....

The coding would be quite complicated too me thinks, and would be a hell of alot of effort. Then only way round it i can see is either paying for subscription or just manually deleting bots when they are made

When your first register it ask you what bike you ride........and you fill this part in, but if you don't fill it in then you can't register.

I think its called a Mandatory field?

This might stop some..................

the "not allowing man" idea might work.

Other than that dan would need to implement a drop down menu, containing every kind of bike, a bit like when you do a bike search on MCN etc.

Not a very easy task.

There are some very effective ways of reducing this.

I have half an idea (only half mind as that is all the brain I have) on how to help with this. I once declared I had half a mind to be a pilot and was told sorry m8, you are over qualified. LOL

I know it only works for PHP and won't stop ALL bots from signing up but should stop the majority and there must be something along the lines of this mod for vBulliten?!

Right... i've tweaked the image varification a bit, but it could really do with some new fonts. I'll sort this out, it may help.

I installed this for a mates fishing site and it nearly stopped all spam. I think he was getting about 20 porn, viagra threads a day and he now gets about 5 a month.

I also installed a deny file into the main root dir.
