View Full Version : Suzuki DR600
Suzuki DR 600 This DR is in good condition for its year (1986). It has some light damage to the tank and the tail pipe has been repaired (welded), but will give good service for some time. The bike is an import and covered about 36 K miles. It all runs sweetly with the great torque you get from a big single. It was manufactured in 1986 & imported & registered in the UK in 1997. It is a kick-start only model but there is an automatic decompressor & a second manual one if you need it. I have found I can start the bike quite easily with only the auto decompressor (there’s a knack like most things). The bike also comes with quite a comprehensive array of spares: fuel tank, seat, a pair of alloy rimmed wheels complete with disc & drum, spare large rear sprocket on carrier, longer chain for larger sprocket, headlamp surround, heavy-weight headlight protector, light-weight headlight protector, front brake calliper, front brake disc, hand guards and a load of books including a Suzuki service manual, a Suzuki supplementary service manual, a printed copy of the parts micro-fiche x 2 and the original ‘Owner’s Handbook’ (very rare). I bought the bike with a bit of a rush of blood to the head after I test rode it because the engine felt so good, but alas the reality of being too short in the leg has forced me to sell it. The bike is taxed until September 2004 & MoT till 22/9/2004. Insurance on this bike was amazingly £89 Fully Comp with NO NCB (all on my other bike). Delivery can be arranged, email to discuss. Any questions or if you want any pictures, email b42@lineone.net
Post up de pictures matey.
or e-mail me them and I will do it.

lol yeah think ur self lucky i had my old teaser to do mine on and the turning point on that was crap and seeing as it had a flat spot it was like trying to do me test on a strangled chicken!
LOL!
YAY ME! I passed!
Now, do I have the heart to sell my TZR and get something like a ZX4R or not....?!
After you sell the Dr you will have the cash to have both. unless the Dr isn't yours.
Are you restricted to 33bhp? If you are keep the TZr you wont get any faster!
DR's not mine :( so no extra cash! It's my Dad's!
Yer, I'm restricted to 33bhp for 2 years! But hey!
Hmm... yer, think I'll just keep my eye out and ride my dad's TS200 through this winter! But if anyone see's a bargain, let us know!!! Cheers!
Without getting something restricted I dont think you will get much better than the TZR. After all they are faster than my 400! :?
REALLY?!
Is your 400 restricted then? I was looking at picking up a ZX4R, they're so nice! and then restricting it. But don't know, cos it'll mean my TZR has to go! What you reckon?
no it is only a single and has 33bhp.
the TZR will be good fun with 33bhp or whatever. the Only problem is that when you pass your test you want something bigger!
EXACTLY! and something that sounds meatier to the idiots that would't know a good/sweet sounding 2-stroke engine if it smacked 'em round the face at 12000rpm! (I get stick for it "being powered by a lawnmower")!!! Just see, when I offer them a ride...
Hmmmm..... still can't decide, think i'll derestrict the TZR and then ride the TS for the mean time unless I see something I can't turn down!
its not de-restricted yet!??
Follow my guide and you be suprised how quick it will be!
No! I been a good boy practising the law! Well, just haven't got round to it! I'll do it soon though! Yer, i think i'll see how fast i can get it to go! Any ideas for performance parts from anywhere?
Hey, need a quick sale on this bike else it's going up on ebay and biketrader or something!
Any reasonable offers...?

hey m8...i'd love it but just checked out the insurance & coz its imported they wanna pull my boxers down and aim for pennertration over the price :(
Put it on Ebay / Bike trader for £1000 sum1 will take it
OK, cheers though. I will do! That was the problem, it was on ebay and someone said they'd give us £950, plus £50 to deliver it to them, so we closed the auction and the {EB} decided he couldn't afford it cos he crashed his car a few days before we were meant to deliver it!!!
any how, cheers for the interest!

Like I said in the other post, I think they've all gone, but I can have a look for you and let you know if I have anything left! Unfortunately most of it went on ebay! :)
Oh, and welcome to the site by the way!
Expect your right leg must be strong having to kick the DR over, I managed it a couple of times, but I just didn't have the weight/power to get right down and through the kick start!
