Well its done around 2000 miles of dual carriageway but that is about it :D

Just my luck its the sodding front and not the rear, its a rear i could do with after gouging a nice big line out of it when pulling away a bit too much on the lairy side :D :D

There has been an update on this ;)

Anyone looking to get one of these changed now needs to check for the week and year batch numbers which are also on the tyre.

Number to look for is a 4 digit number and should be between 4505 and 1807

the numbers equate obviously to week 45 of 2005 all the way through to week 18 of 2007.

mine was 1207 which again is week 12 of 2007

So you then need to ring the technical help line for Michelin up in Stoke (the number is on their website concerning this) and give your details in, they will then advise you not to use the bike where possible, to stay below the national speed limit and under no circumstances do any track days on it :D

Once they have your details they will send you a letter advising you of where to take the bike to get it replaced, chances are it will go to where you got the tyres fitted if they are a Michelin tyre dealer ;)

The cost of the removal of the tyre whether the wheel is fitted to the bike or not and also the balancing of the tyre on the wheel is borne by Michelin so you do not have to pay anything (as you would expect).

:)

I did this yesterday and ment to update everyone here (I forgot) mines 0107 (Week 1)

And as latey said you need to then speak to technical and they will send you out a conformation letter and arrange to have a replacement tyre sent to the dealer.

Whe I said what is the risk? They said keep it well under the speed limit

Well I don't think he meant the speed limit of the bike

So just be sensible :grin2 (likes that's gonna happen :laugh1)

My god. I have had mine on for over a month. I have done some pretty stupid things on that aswell! Including 170 the other day. You cant help but feel that michellin should advertise this better. Had I not had the net id never have found out.
