ok, well i took this on as a bit of a project, got it cheap enough and decided that i would budget £500 max on tidying it up.

£150 spent on exhaust, and £100 spent on replacement r&g's and engine mounts that were missing! The original r&g's were bodged on and it worked out cheaper to get a set than to get the odd bits that were missing.

have spent a further £50 on a set of used (scuffed) side fairings and a new fitting kit. Havent fitted them yet as i need to get hold of some grommets and shiny bolts :)

so far, of my £500 budget, i have spent £300.

whats left to do?
fit the fairings... they are currently in dark blue. i think i'll leave them that colour and do some kind of chequered flad blue/yellow grahic to merge the top fairing with the bottom. that or i'll do the lot in rizla blue.

wheels need powder coating. that'll get done for free when i get round to taking the wheels off...

might fit new hoses to tidy the old goodridges up a bit.

trying to get hold of a single seat cowl.

undertray.

led rear light with built in indicators.

and that will be about the lot! other than some tidying here n there, getting rid of old rusted bolts and that sorta thing.

I think the yellow and blue works well. EVen more so when you get the spray job done you mentioned.

i've always loved these bikes but never had the chance to ride/own one.
Did anybody ever see the project somebody did to turn theirs into a 748 beater, it spanked the pants off of it!!!!!!:shooter
