Just thought I would post up and let all the Ladies on here know, there appears to be a new Ladies Bike clothing shop opened up in Braintree. I haven't been in there and I have no connection with it, other than I was walking past this morning with my wife, and she spotted it, thought it was a general bike clothing shop at first then my wife said, it looks like its all ladies stuff.
Couldn't see a name up, but the shop is next door to the nail bar near the fountain in Braintree. For those who are not familiar with Braintree, the fountain is at the junction of the High st and St Micheals road.

I tell you what, I am off sick today, and a walk will do me good, a bit of excercise and a bit of fresh air, I will make a point of going down there and doing a proper reccie.
But it looked proper gear. Not a tassle in sight!
I just got Mandy kitted out from Hein Gericke. Looked good on, good fit and impressed with the 2 year warranty. Not the cheapest of leathers but should do the job. Anyone else had anything to do with them and what is your opinion?

But alternatives and competition are always good.
I have been down for a gander, and they are not open yet, its a tiny shop. They had a stand full of AGVSport Lady Jane, Leather and Textile jackets.

Two stands full of helmets, including some (I think HJC) ones with Pink flashes on.
There was also a Scorpion Cans stand.
As I say, not open yet, no signs saying when they will be open.

they do fit well, they're the only place other than Girlsbike2 where you can get girls leathers in a size 6. sadly the legs were all too long for me. i have heard that the protection is really comfy as well as being really effective, the girls at GB2 said lots of people swap their armour for HG stuff.
hope she likes it and thinks about getting her licence!
kasandrich, thanks for the recce hehehe

There are several online female biker outlets but to be honest, they seem dont seem to cater for PROPER WOMEN sizes! Don't get me wrong, I'm not exactly a bloater but I do have an "ample bossom" which quite often means I can get ladies leathers for the bottom half but always resort to a mans jacket to get the requisite chest size.

go to Girlsbike2 in Hitchin or Enfield, ok not exactly on the doorstep yet :grin2, but it's the only shop in the world where me and my mum can both get stuff to fit us - me being size 6-8 and her being 18-20 (up until the start of the year anyway). they actually go up to a size 24 i think.
they have a great range of stuff online and in the shops. and they provide coffee and seats for the boys :grin2 plus they really know their stuff.
