For a flush through I use silkolene pro FST, as well as preventing carb icing it also stops and dissolves gum. The carb on the mito I had was very mucky, pro fst cleaned it up beautifully. Just stick it in the fuel tank and run the bike. Easy.

ultrasonic cleaning tank. cant beat it!

you'd need to strip the float bowls and jets from carbs, then put all the bits in the tank and let it run... change water once its gone dirty black and run it some more. then rinse under tap, reassemble and presto! the ultrasonic pulses will get into every hidden orifice and remove every bit of grime.

Used to use one of those for cleaning transparencies after I'd had them mounted in oil, filled it with an alcohol based fluid though. It was ancient. Where do you get them?

oooh now that sounds exciting. is it easy to get the bits off?

(and how much is one of those, ridiculously expensive or just a bit steep?!)
