Hi all, just wanted to let you know that Lidl are doing a basic 2-way radio set for rider n pillion for just £5...tried it with my mate today and anything said at 50mph or below is quite clear. I just clipped the little box to the grab handle on the pillion seat. For £5 I thought it'd be rude to not give it a try.

I bought one in their last bike bits sale. Wasn't too bad tbh! but like you say anything over a certain amount and you can't hear anything!

the ear piece hurt if you have a properly fitted lid,

A mate and I bought them at the last Lidl bike stuff sale and found the same. The bulk of it is where the mic boom joins the ear piece. We modded it out and used epoxy to attach the boom directly to the earpiece, which reduces the width by about half. With it all done, the ear piece fits neatly into the earway cutout in the Shoei lid and the mic boom fits snugly behind the cheekpiece comfort padding with just the end bit of the mic sticking out at the front.
So now if going out with missus, it's just a case of unclip the cheek padding, put the thing in place behind it and clip the padding back.
