View Full Version : watch the pidgeon!!

hit a bloody pidgeon head on today on the A12 near Yoxford, doing about 60MPH at the time, and it felt more like a frozen chicken!
I was lucky i had my visor down as it is a bit scratched and i have been riding with safety sun glasses as well and lifting the visor (ironicly ordered a new gradient tint one yesterday)
it actually left me with a mild headache for the afternoon, but did no damage to the visor, except for a couple of extra scratch marks.
did try to duck but it just got over the top of the fairing, leaving a few feathers on the top of the screen, then big bang as it hit me smack in the face. (well visor) all OK after, though the bird probably had a bigger headache, so much for no sex i`ve got a headache, that one was truely fcuked!

Bet you felt that mate, if it hit the helmet i'd seriously consider getting a new one fella, just to be on the safe side!

hi there I would strongly sugest after an impact like that that you have it checked out or replaced !! it might look like there is no damage on the outside but the inner could be past a safe tollerence .

blody hell mate you done well to stay on the bike, i got hit by a small bird on the arm and it hurt like hell, so a pigeon, jesus !!!!
