As the grapevine hots up for 2008 bikes. Graphic rendition of the V4 Honda Fireblade and the Aprillia RSV have been in circulation on the web.
The Fireblade is rumored to have a new V4 1000cc engine, equipped with traction and launch control among other goodies. Also, it might have a stubby R6 style exhaust. No more toasted nuts for blade riders in 2008 it seems http://yzf1000-r1.co.uk/phpBB2/images/smiles/y_lmao.gif

The Aprilia looks awesome but is expected to be pricey.

If the 2008 R1 is exactly like the 2007 R1, it will be under some serious competition and would most likely look ordinary compared to the fireblade and Factory RSV. But this is just speculation, we have to wait for the 2008 launch of these bikes to know for certain.
