Personnally i think he will turn into a Colin Edwards although i do hope not :)

Guintoli hasnt done too badly on the bike for them in comparison to the big guns in MotoGP but if they are still running Dunlops next year they will have to bring something special out of the bag.

As talented as he is i just can't see Toseland doing a great deal on it, i can see however, Lorenzo stealing the limelight next year by battling with Stoner.

He hasnt taken the route which seems to lead to success by riding the gp 125 and 250 bikes, but a side of me thinks he may do well. Realistically I cant see it though. The tyre rule really seems to have made a huge impact on this years early season at least, and a bad tyre choice does seem to bury any hopes of a race win, so the Dunlops really arent going to get him a sniff of podium, be nice to see but I doubt it.

As for him being a Colin Edwards, are they giving him a personality exchange as well?

I thought that James would be better staying where he is, Honda did offer him a great package to stay. Best of luck to him though !!!:grin2

Dunlop are pulling out of mto GP next year. And the tyre rule is almost certain to turn into a control tyre series running a single tyre manufaturer.

Its pretty shocking that he'd decide to go to tech3 given their results. Think he would have been better on the dantin ducati, at least they have had a podium and have run at the front a few times.

Well in theory he should get rossi's bike from this season. So in theory they should be ok. I spose

Everyone said that about Rossi moving from Honda to Yamaha though ;)

As far as the control tyre goes, have you seen anything anywhere that suggests they will go down that route? i havent :)

Compare MotoGP to F1 and there is no way that they will go for a one manufacturer rule, there is simply too much money involved, as with the bike manufacturers, the tyre manufacturers rely on using the likes of MotoGP to get advertising for their tyres.

You can bet that Stoner doing so well with Bridgestone has boosted their sales, just a line such as "using MotoGP technology" tends to swing it, i know Michelin, Dunlop and Bridgestone are currently using that one :)

Ideally a one tyre rule would be the way forward, get rid of tyres out of the equation so its back down to bike and rider again.

Or go back to the rules from last year where if a team is willing to pay the money to have tyres developed overnight for individual riders then so be it.
