Moped

Hey guys, I just wanted some advise and any opinions thanks.

I'm buying a moped for 120 because I just want something that I can run around on for a few months so that I have more time to save for a bigger bike. The ped is an MBK mach 5, it needs a new exhaust he says, the battery is dead because he hasn't ridden it for a few months and no MOT. so its going against all the rules of buying second hand. But I like a challenge and I wanna see where I can go with this, in the long run id like to have it running nicely so that I can give it to my little brother for his b-day in jan so that he can get around. I have pretty much no knowledge of peds or bikes, so any advise you guys can give would be a great help.

As for the scooter, the only advice I can think is to assume you are buying a pile of near future scrap, that way you wont be too dissappointed. It may be fine, but if it sounds like ****, smells like **** etc ;)

Yea if it doesn't work it also means I have a long term project I can mess around with :P try to understand how things work a bit more.
