if you think like that everytime you go out of your front door even just walking just think how many times you wouldnt leave the house , you would not even turn on the lights indoors , just put it out of your mind and enjoy life to the fullest looking over your shoulder for the grim reaper will only make you go into the back of the car infront of you , dont regret what you have done just regret what you have not done lol :grin2

I still get it occasionally despite 24 years of continuous riding, especially now I'm well past the age of believing I'm immortal. Just push it to the back of your mind and remember it's just as easy to get damaged in a car or walking across the road so you might as well enjoy your method of travel.
Also I do genuinly feel safer on 2 wheels than inside 4, especially on motorways/fast roads. When all the brake lights are coming on in the middle of a rainstorm and everyone is panicking, I've got far more escape routes than the people locked into their own lane. The only time I feel at a disadvantage is when I have to get a concrete fence post home from the garden centre. God bless the man/woman who invented bungees.

By christ i thought i was the only one who felt that way, being inside 4 wheels also makes me sick physically, but after my recent highside, i'm feeling extreemly frightend of my bike & i'm not wanting to ride it as im not enjoying it with all the demons going on inside my head,
but yep i get those thoughts too, i've on many an occosion, stood & watched my own funeral from the back, thats a very scary thought, that particular 1 started as a dream 1 night & regularly turns into a daytime thought, but i do put them to the back of my mind, however they are hard to ignore after an off!!
But mick is right!!

its weird really because its only the other night that i had one of them strange dreams that you have just as you are drifting off to sleep :D
(the kind that lasts 30 seconds and you wake up with a bang :D ).
i could see myself driving a van (for some strange reason) down a dual carriageway and having to hit the brakes really hard from silly speed to zero :D
i could remember saying "not going to stop, not going to stop" and then the olbigatory "shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit" :D
and that was that, i woke up with a massive jolt on impact and felt rough for the next 5 minutes, kind of like someone had just been stamping on my chest :D
and then i went back to sleep :D
but my re-occuring one always used to be seeing myself sliding down the A127 on the way to work having lost the front end from grabbing too much front brake, weird really considering i can actually see the Half way house on the right as i go underneath the bridge,
and yet i dont use the A127, i use the A13 (probably subconsciously :D :D ).
But (dragging this on a little bit here), these sort of feelings believe it or not can actually hold your riding back,
its the negativity issue here that you can develop from crashing and also crashing in your sleep ;)
most riders tend to settle at around 85% of their capability even though their 100% (limit of the comfort zone :D ) may be well below someone else's, however those that dont tend to go any quicker are normally held back because every corner becomes a "what if" before they go into it ;)
by that i mean they head into the corner braced up fearing the worst, instead of going into the corner thinking positively and relaxed expecting a really good feeling from getting the corner right :)
put the fears out of mind and be positive and your riding (through relaxation) becomes more fluid and smooth :)
or thats the theory anyway :D

He's right again you'know,
before sunday iwas exactly as latey described & if it was a good enough ride i would start changing things like my lean angle, amount speed i held
then since i have all these demons back im just rigid & paniking at every opportunity:reading

Just after I started riding I had a dream about rear ending a low loader that had no break lights. It happens just before you go under the A406 on the A13 West bound. I think this is the reason I dont filter going past that bit of the A13.

Yep i get it as well & think things like that, i think most do as we all know the risks involved when we put our leathers on & go out for a ride, but if you act on what you think all the time you'd never have any fun.

to be honest i have often done that and still do quite often, but as of yet none of them have come true thank god.
i dont know what it is but as of yet i havent allowed it to affect when i do and do not ride my bike.
when you think these things if it often very detailed??

when you think these things if it often very detailed??
im my case yes & i do believe latey mentioning earlier that it was detailed to the point of pinpionting locations, an sum 1 else for that matter, however i was once told that it is our subconsious telling us that perhaps we are overstepping the mark just a little

I think everyone gets these sort of "what if" thoughts but anythin can happen wherever you are, just look at them poor sods who got cought on the bridge in america! Best way just wear all ya gear when you ride and enjoy! I made myself wear my padded trousers to work today instead of jeans cos i had a gut feeling but it didn't really work cos i just rode faster and leaned further lol!
P.S. Lovely day!
