I am keeping an eye on this as a few people are getting royally tits'd off with hearing about it to be honest, this is a bike site for free speech about anything you want but we have to draw the line at things like this mate ;)
It goes beyond spamming its more like blatent begging, most of us tend to save for what we cant afford right now rather than sign up for offers that involve spamming other people ;)

Its not a case of ****ing people off, most dont realise exactly what you are asking for here ;)
The problem is that you are pestering people on here (that dont really know you) to sign up for something that benefits you in the short term and not them :)
But these schemes dont come for free i can assure you :)
So who is going to stop all the spam people receive after they hand in their details?
And where does it all end, 12 people sign up for you from here and so who is next to stick the same advert up, the only problem being is that the IP's are no longer valid so they are having to network for their own help then elsewhere.
All's you are doing is taking advantage of an attractive offer to go and farm people to add to an extremely large database of marketing contacts.
Its called a pyramid ;)
You get 12 people signed up at £5 each (12 @ £60)
They then get 12 people signed up each (144 @ £720)
They then get 12 people signed up each (1728 @ £8640)
They then get 12 people signed up each (20736 @ £103,680)
It only has to go 4 levels to my way of thinking and thats a nice little sum they have made up just from £5 each :D

Not to mention 20 odd thousand email addresses added to a mailing list, which is worth a pretty penny too.

i think its very similar to pyramid sales ie spratt to catch the mackerel etc so on and so forth so in that respect you wont catch me adding to their profits soz m8

If you are willing to pay the money wouldn't it be easier to just make up 12 email addys then sign em all up. and delete them off after? I know this is time consuming but it would mean you could get the ps3 for 60 quid no hassle to anyone else and 12 chances to win some bets.

In all fairness its a system that has been going over the internet for at least the last 5 years that i can remember, times have changed and their is very little to worry about (other than privacy).
Its just that it relies on pestering people to go through with the offers completely :)
A few of the background facts that show some of the pitfalls
Although there are many offers around the Internet that can be found at such websites such as YouTube.com, Google Video and more, one should be careful to take into account that getting a free PS3 or any other device for free involves giving out personal information across the Internet. Although, many of the hardcore PS3 fans out there will practically do anything they can to get a free Playstation 3 in their possession. Many individuals would jump at the fact to participate in any type of program to get a Playstation 3 delivered to the door, but take into consideration that a free PS3 is not as easy to get “at no cost” as it may seem.
Many websites that giveaway a free Playstation 3 often want you to either sign up for a particular third party company (such as Blockbuster video) that require you to either purchase something from them directly, or begin a free trial account and leaving behind your credit card number. While some companies seem trustworthy and noticeable, it should be considered that anyone wanting to sign up for these companies just for the chance to get a free Playstation 3 be very cautious as the last thing anyone wants is to have their privacy exposed across the Internet.
The second method involves referring others to the free PS3 giveaway websites where they are also required to participate into one of the third party company programs. As there are a certain required amount of referrals that need to sign up, don’t expect to have your free Playstation 3 system in your hands by the end of next week. Your referrals must participate in a program and must pass through it in order for them to be counted as a qualified referral. Once you have completed a successful free PS3 giveaway program and you have attained the appropriate number of qualified referrals, then you are well on your way to getting a free Playstation 3 sent out to you.
Free Playstation 3 giveaway websites will use this tactic to help promote other advertisers by getting those guaranteed purchasers or participators. What needs to be done here for anyone looking to get a free Playstation 3 is that they should really do a background check on the advertisers they are looking to participate with. Regardless of reputable companies, the last thing anyone would want to have happen is having their credit card number and personal information fall into the wrong hands.
There is no doubt that many hardcore PS3 fans would love to have a free Playstation 3 that averages $600 or more in their possession at a much lesser cost: The cost of a website giveaway promotion and collecting referrals. In the long run, it can be considered an excellent trade between an advertiser’s program and getting a free Playstation 3, but the best reward of all is being able to get a free PS3 without having your personal privacy at risk.
As i said the problem lies in getting people to sign up for the offers to get the referral and most people are sceptical about giving their details out these days :)
Thats not to say these schemes arent legitimate because they do work :)

But this link below shows the sort of contempt that these things bring when you start pestering people (hence why its not an uncommon reaction to get told to sod off :D ).
Actually this is quite comical on this other forum :D

Yawn.....
This is starting to annoy me a bit now fella, Just go & buy one if you want one that bad. Don't even waste your time on that website, go & get one from a shop like everyone else ;), Normally they are re-conditioned units that they give away through these sites anyway. In other words they will probably go wrong anyway. :grin2

Right, for the record he has said his piece and has acknowledged that whilst it might annoy some, it wasnt done for that intention, can i suggest that we keep the comments to either helping him get what he wants only, that means anyone who wants to give him a lift feel free to yap in here, anyone not wanting to help then just read only ;)
The last thing we need is for this to spiral downhill and alienate anyone for what on the surface is just a harmless attempt at getting something cheaply :)
If needs be (seeing as the referral link is in his signature) i will lock the thread but i dont want to have to do that :)
However Banditmad, can i please ask you not to make anymore threads on this on here to save this getting out of hand :)
