Hummm...o.k...As i have mentioned before, My new C1h has a complete standered can on it....and i have to say i absolutly HATE it!!! its the quietestest bike i have EVER had and it just bugs me......i have hit the limiter a few times when i have been out playing with other louder bikes (im just glad it has a change light lol) I have already put in a nice new K&N, which made it sound a little throatier
......NOW......im gonna be purchesing a nice new can in the next few days.....My last (Now shtolen) c1h had an Akropovic apparent road legal Sp series Can on it.......which with the baffles out sounded like nothing i had ever heard before....PERFERCT!!! and i thought it looked pretty snazzy to! http://www.hardracing.com/images/exhaust_photo.jpg

I was thining about just getting another one of these for my bike there like 450ish but i know that i like em!

HOWEVER....i nipped down to my local bike shop....the dude that owns it is kinda like a pal.......and he highly reckomended that i got an Arrow can for it....I have heard from someone at a track day that arrow cans go together really well with my bike! and he knows the MSS Nick morgan Racing bloke....so thinks he can get one slightly cheaper!

i actually think this looks crap! i have no idea how it sounds though or what performance gains it gives...although i actually plan to get a Power commander next!

Now evan though i can get the arrow cheaper....im still leaning towards the Akropovic........But what do you guys think? seriously!?

Ditto! And I'm certainly not going to say that I definately prefer the Akro!

Any real ideas on what gains both pipes give? Gonna be close to each other I reckon. Which weighs less?

i can think of lots of other things to spunk your cash on instead of a new can

advanced training
trackdays
r&g's
steering damper
sprockets (lower the gearing)
professional suspension setup
hugger (or maybe a shock sock)
or even an alarm if the bike doesn't have one

yes the end can will 'bring the noise' and provide a weight saving, but your'll actually be losing some mid range as your removing the exhaust valve
there is very very little to be gained in the way of power increase with just a link pipe/end can (you need a full system for that, but saying that the standard system on a C1 is actually very good, so even a full system doesn't release many ponies)

keep an eye on fleabay for a can and buy one when the price is right
(theres a micron and yoshi on there at the moment)

Steering Damper........it seems fine without one! Its not a hardnosed B like yours lol =) !

(just so you know...all the things with way ahead have either already been ordered, or im getting this month! )

Righty Dokey people....Im bored so thought i would share it all with you guys! At the end of summer i couldnt find a good deal on an akro...and was BORED as hell with the standered can...so got my self a race Micron can...Set it up with the Power commander...worked fine....But it looks Poo poo paroo! i mean...it just looked like a normal oval can stuck under my bike side ways! Also...when it was cold it sounded the same as the standered one aka rather quite and dosile.........but then when it got hot...........well.........I think the noise caused a few badgers to explode as i rode past them! But it was LOUD but not NICE...if you know what i mean! oh and it was very Whiney to!
And Theeeen.....AT the Essex Air Ambulance ride out.....*Somebody* decided to blough into the back of my bike......Which caused the ever so strong, hard as nails R&G Tail tidy to bend ever so slighty ( They really are string tail tidys, it took the whole force of the impact!) Thi then led to my number plate smashing against my rear tyre when i took a festivly large (Like my self) Pilon on the back! Obviously...at this stage i was rather un happy with the whole Arse or my bike....so decided to make Drastic measures!Off came the R &G tail tidy...And Off came the Horrible Micron! On went a VERY sexy tail tidy..Made by a company called *EvoTech performance* Which looks the DON! it gets rid of ALL the fugly plastic that was holding on the standered indys at the rear and is very mimamal but strong! i LOVE it! and to accompany it............................YES INDEEDY a 4 month old Akron can! bought for a damn bargin of a price! SO now i think my bikes arse is pretty Damn sexy!!! I will get some pics soon i promise! ( specially being as i dont think i have ever put any of this bike on the forum yet!) BUT FIRST.....i want to get a new Rear Seat hump.........as...whilste my bike was still all ugly at the back......i went for a ride....and my old one Bloody well blew off...and shattered on the road! ( november want a good month for me!) was blatently my own fault....i thought i had clicked it all the way in.....when i obviously hadnt! Oh well..... Hope you enjoy the read...

Yeah i looked at the two brothers ones...are you talking about the double barrelled ones?! they DID look and sound cool.....but they just poked out the back of the bikes Soooooooooooo much! that from the side it just looked silly! i had heard of people getting these...then thinking the same as me....so chopping them down in size! and to be honest....i have heard how they sound as they are......And then the fact that there NOT cheap! i didnt really fancy it!
