I have just had my RSVR serviced, but unfortunately the guys didnt remove the notification from the dash. I have looked through the service manuals, but cant find out how to do it :(
I'm sure one of you kind hearted souls will have the knowledge :clap

Turn the ignition on to stage 1 (1st position so the CAN is powered up)
Wait until the Tacho returns to zero and has done its diagnostic check
Press and hold + and - together with something like the blunt ends of a pair of pencils (dont use anything sharp on the rubber buttons as they can be pierced quite easily) and hold them down for 15 seconds (thats 15 real seconds and not how most people tend to count :D ).
If at first you dont succeed, try try again as its a finicky sod :D

Well having 'had' a 99 RSV and also an 06 RSVR helps :D :D
And knowing how flaming annoying it is to get rid of the service indicator i couldnt resist :D
Offtopic but is there any reason why you never did the flapper mod on the RSVR? Was thinking about doing it.

Just never got round to it being perfectly honest :D
I had contemplated doing it though :)

But surely, to remove the "flapper" from any of your bikes simply needs you to get off of them?
:grin2

Ah well in all fairness i did say i contemplated it, and it was admittedly at the time when i couldnt ride :D
(i also spoke to Don and Andy about it and they did say that it doesnt actually make a great deal of difference, just allows more air to be drawn in on airbox demand rather than by the ECU) :)
