Croft Delight For Armchair Fans
Wednesday, August 08, 2007 - British Superbike Media
Armchair motorcycle racing enthusiasts are set for a bonus this Sunday with the confirmation that ITV Sport will be screening no less than three and a half hours of coverage from the Croft round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship.
The biggest ‘live’ screening of BSB in years will be split between the ITV4 “free to air” digital channel and the ITV1 Sport network terrestrial channel, and, it will be available in its entirety in a simultaneous transmission on www.itv.com (http://www.itv.com/).
There will also be a complete review of the day’s activities on the Sky Sports Extra evening show, followed by repeat showings on Men and Motors on Thursday and Friday.
The ‘live’ Sunday show will begin at 12.30 on ITV4 with full coverage of the Metzeler Racetec National Superstock Championship race, then the first of the two races in the tenth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, followed by the Virgin Media Cup. At 14.30, the programming switches to ITV1 with a re-run of the opening Superbike race and climax with the live transmission of the second Superbike race in programme including all of the usual features and interviews that runs through to 16.00hrs.
The Sky coverage of the day follows between 21.00 and 00.30.
