But not so subtle on the ears  :D
Spent the afternoon with Milleuks yesterday servicing my R1 (plugs, oil and filter) and stripping off the standard system and Akrapovic can.
In favour of a 7 month old Micron (Serpent) system and race can (with 60mm outlet  ).
The Akrapovic can that was on it appears to have a 50mm outlet and is around 10cm longer in total :)
Got it all put together and give it a run back from Chelmsford to see what it was like.
Below 4000rpm, slower than the standard bike, but bearing in mind the EXUP valve has been disconnected and the bike is going into HM racing tomorrow to have everything setup properly on the Dyno its not a concern :)
Above 4000rpm and the sodding thing kicks in to life quite viciously :D
The average figures for the Micron Serpent system and Beta race can suggest a gain of around 12-15bhp on a good engine with the fueling setup, but sod the figures its noticeable without having been on the dyno yet :D
However the biggest difference is the noise, i do admit to giving it some hammer on the way back as soon as i found a stretch of road with nothing on it we were into treble figures and the thing started to not so much scream, but howl pretty damn loud
I think this one is going to be borderline to be honest as to whether or not i would get away with a tug from the Police if anywhere within 5 miles :D
I am convinced its louder than my 99 RSV and that thing was proper loud, but the outlet on it makes it sound like a proper race bike (hardly surprising for a race can :D ).
The best of it all is that the whole system and can cost £320 including delivery from Ebay, better still i managed to pick up an Ohlins with remote preload too for £265 :D
(now definitely need to sell my track bike :D ).
Anyway spent the day cleaning it seeing as its not had a proper wash in the last 2 weeks, Jetski give hers the full works too seeing and we took a couple of pictures to remember what they look like when they are cleaned properly :D
