hopefully my Rs 50 will do about 80......
a friend of mine has d-restricted his and put a race system on it and it does 75......
mines the same cept im putting an 80 bore kit on mine :twisted:

TZR50's look sound and ride better i know ive ridden both¬ but then i have a biast opinion

yes i have rode the new TZR 50 someone at college has got one the same one inthe foto! the mini r6 one!
TZR wins my vote. Less in servicing, and still looks the nuts.

note to self put on race pipes send engine away to get tuned! add big bore kit upgrade to 350cc , and take road racing course! and get bike dyno jetted!

my 400 would beat the 250 in a race :D i had 130mph outta it!!!
A VFR 400 would be faster than a CB500.

fraid not - my cousin had a tuned RD350 with a spot on run in engine in it, race expansion chamers n pipes, raced him up stratford on avon raceway - admitedly he blitzed me on pull away but as soon as i got into second i was level with him - he ended up doing a 13.8 n i was doing 13.1's until i did the 12.7!!
they are fast tho - he just werent used to it

yeah i agree with tark - CB 500's and ER500's n suzu GS500's - they are good commuter bikes with a bit of poke but they arent much power wise - dont get fooled by cc's they dont tend to mean much specially with turbos! :D

Well....... me and sarah were playin down the Drome last week and the ER5 was faster than me on accelleration.... but i was catchin as soon as i hit 3rd But sum1 put a corner in the way so i cant tell u ne more than that!
I would put that down to the tourque of a twin and pure cc.

Ouch..that must have hurt!! I'd love to rebuild a bike... Had my Rs apart on sat, looked well weird without any plastics on it other then the top faring/headlights! Might post the pics if i get time.

i wouldsay the same as tark - the 500 is a twin - loads of torque which will kill a 400 until the 400 hits the revs! :)

No chance. A 500 single or twin has about 50 bhp. a VFR400 has about that and revs twice as high. its not top end grunt but bottom end poke that the 500 single/twin would have the edge.

torque makes you accelerate, BHP keeps you up and revving
hence 500 V twin or whatever they are has lots of grunt - my gixer 400 has lots of horses and revs to shoot you up the road fast when revving!! :D
