:waveHi all, even though I'm from London have a holiday home (caravan ;))in Maldon so hopefully will be there a lot next year, still nursing a few broken bones from an off at Brands Hatch two months ago, so can't ride and even if I could the bikes buggered :(

Hopefully might meet a few of you for rides/meets next year

Hello mate, how you doing?
Been on any trackdays recently?
As I said before I would be too scared to track your bike seeing its so mint, I'd even be scared to clean it :grin2

And talking about speed, at least you went up the straight on your bike and not your head like me :laughboun

Just my collar bone to heal now but as it snapped off, docs are 50/50 about operating, thinking it might heal on its own. In 4 weeks they are going to decide, that will be 3 months!! I really feel well looked after...........not!!

[/QUOTE]

Have to say it was a strange sensation seeing your bike slide on its side right next to me at 80+ mph and one I do not wish to repeat....phewwww!

Good old NHS strikes again eh.....but at least your here to talk about it which has got to be a good thing..... that was a mighty off at a fair old speed as well....how is the bike anyway I know you said only superficial damage...will the "other half" let you get back on one again when you are mended?

Good to have you on board matey and wish you a speedy recovery ......cheers

Neil

I was more lucky with the bike, track fairing was scratched, and need to replace gear lever and generator cover. Problem is I haven't taken it out to work out if the forks or frame is damaged.

once your all mended maybe see you on one of our track gatherings.

Wife doesn't want me to do trackdays anymore and I love her to much to go behind her back, but would still turn up to the track, if I was free ;)

Welcom to the forum!!

i have a deal with my misus....

If i was doin it before i met her.......... she has no reason or rhyme to ask me to stop..........

Otherwise if she does gives, it me an excuse to ask her to do things that she never did before...... like the washing cleaning & ironing!!

or, i would also be able to ask her to stop being a veggie!!! ....

give up riding...... next she'll be asking you to part the red sea!!!

Christ dont do for the sake of all mankind.... if one gets their own way they'll all be expecting it!!!:grin1

See where you are coming from, problem is I only started trackdays this year as I never really had any connection with that thing before, even though I have been riding 15 or so years. Been with the missus nearly 7.

She doesn't mind the bike and likes to go on it, if I keep the track and road separate, that means her fears of the track will not transfer to the road and we will still come on rides with me.

I will miss the feeling of the track, but I get over excited and take chances, and lose all my fear which is not a good thing, honestly ;)

Still can't wait to mend so I can get on the bike again, thats why I joined here, I'm not a very fast road rider but enjoy doing rideouts etc...

Came off coming out of clearways, as the straight is actually curved my bike continually wanted to go a bit left as I came out, even though this was happening I still accelerated as hard as I could, thinking if I lent enough off I would counteract it. Also must have been trying to overtake lillywhites. I should have slowed down but I thought I could handle it but as lillywhites wrote I ended up sliding down the track beside him doing 80+ :(

I was just too over confident, felt no one could touch me, I realised why, I was taking too many chances! I tried to make my learning curve too steep, I'm only a newbe on the track.

Yeah i know wat you mean but keeping the power on slowly but smooth helps had a highside just in the little dip before the straight and also run onto the grass along the straight lol

It was fun
