Looking into the Mazda lowering Kit but promised I wouldn't spend any more money for a while.... There are others but sticking with the factory option will keep my waranty going. I have started taking my clippers and scissors with me for home visits...

And yeah I noticed that about next doors van. I did think about blacking it out on the picture.. And you can see the floor drying. I was very bored that afternoon and had to take about 5 picturs hanging out of my bedroom window to get it to match the first one...

Yeah sorry... I had hoovered it a few times in the first week but you almost need to do it every time you get out of the car..

Didn't use any wax on it. That was taken just after a wash with car plan but it was only a week old so would expect it to be pretty shiney. I am going to treat it to a clay bar and a sealer sometime soon.

Had it lowered 35mm with Eibachs. Fitted 17" Momo Corse wheels, IL Motorsport Race Exhaust, Fujita Intake, Front Fog Lights, Splash Guards, Stubby Airel, Clear side repeaters and put my private plate on:

Nice car but much prefered the Golf Mark.

As latey said, it's a bit too close a shave for me (or short, back and sides even).

I can't believe that you're putting pictures of your MX-5 on a bikers site... Dude, it's an MX-5!!!!

At least if you're going to do it then put a beast of a motor on here (like my frighteningly fast Honda s2000)!!!!! :shooter

Only people that have never driven them call then Hairdressers cars. Even Jeremy Clarkson liked them lol

And I test drove the S2000 and it was nothing special so bought the Mazda instead. I would be halfway donw the road by the time the S2000 had got its roof up or down and up to 6,000rpm. lol Why are all the S2000s for sale online all Cat C or D write offs? And if it wasn't for the MX-5 the S2000, SLK, Boxster, Z3, Z4 etc etc wouldn't exsist as they do today.

I know what yours saying about the Golf Tez but my golf looked good but was a T*at to drive! Too low and wheels too big. Not fun at all.

I dont mind taking stick for having an MX-5 cos I still have the RSVR too so I have a choice when the sun is out.

My previous car was an MX-5 but I'm a girl so I could drive it without embarrassment or any homosexual remarks...!!!

And it was a really fun car - I bought because Jeremy Clarkson told me to!

I loved the handling which was absolutely idiot proof but it just wasnt fast enough...

I got the S2000 (again because the amazing mr Clarkson told me to - I want to be the mother of his children!) and fell in love with the sheer damn lunacy of it. :love1

I used to be well into my 2 strokes (had an RD350LC project) so loved the crazy revving engine of the S2000. The handling is pretty awesome as well but not as predictable as the MX-5 which makes it a lot more fun. The electric roof is the fastest in the world and I remember what a pain in the butt it was having to perform acrobatics to reach back and "manually" have to pull up the MX-5 hood... lame! :(

I would say that the colour you've chosen is quite nice but were you really expecting to put a piccie of an MX-5 up on a bikers site and not get the micky ripped out of you??!

Tark

No I was expecting it. Used to it by now anyway.. lol.
As for the older MX-5 I know what you mean about the roof. Mine is a single clip in the middle so can do it in about 3 seconds. I din't like the old one with one either side. The new MX-5 has an electric hard top which only takes 12 seconds. Pretty impressive.

To be honest I did want an S2000 even after htinking it wasn't that great in the test drive. I was used to the Golf Diesel with more Tourque than the R32 and Boxster so the S2000 was a let down in that department. At a group 20 insurance it was going to cost me £4K to insure it and I couldn't get Fully comp anywhere! I'm only 22 and have 6 points.

The MX-5 isn't that fast but its just what I needed for blasting roung the country lanes and is safe enough to leave with Mandy too. It costs me £10K less than the S2000 and I might even fit the turbo kit when it gets its ass on the market. That would take me to over the BHP of the S2000, more usable rev range and at £3.5K for the conversion will still work out £6.5K less than the Honda.

It is a Shame the MX-5 has a Hairdresser or Gay symbol when it is really a very good car. Its Light, 50/50 weight distribution, good handling, rear wheel drive, 170Bhp, cheap to run and insure etc etc but the fact is having to explain all that to justify it wouldn't place it very high on the "Cool Wall" if you know what I mean.

Hang on, you mean they are normally driven by hairdressers AND homosexuals ???
