Leathers Ugently Needed

Hey guys,

After freezing my nuts off (not literally of course) on Wed night at the NWH I have come to the conclusion I need leathers and quick.

I have a Frank Thomas 2 piece but im too porky to get the trousers on so if any one has either black leather trousers or an all in one that will fit me i'm 5"6 and bloody well built is a nice way of putting it.......... Big ass is another then please let me know but leaving me a message.

What about good quality textiles ? Mine are Rev-it ones and have a removable quilt liner, are waterproof and very warm. Nice deep pockets and I think they were about £140 new but worth every penny.


Failing that try slimmers enormous or camping and general in the tent section

Leathers wont keep you warm at this time of the year, if anything they make you feel colder, textiles for winter are a much better idea as you can build the layers up if needed ;)

Thats why I suggested them. Loads warmer. In fact I hardly ever use the quilted liners in mine, they are just too hot.

I would most def say textiles! And and and......the marvelous things known as Thermals! i just got some in from work.....and i never take them off! warmest things EVER! lol but yeah...still need textiles! there the best/warmestest and most waterproof garments to wear over the winter months! .....However saying that...the reason i havnt worn mine this year is for the same reason you arent squeezing into your leathers..... Off to the gym for me i think! lol

I've never had textiles never liked em...... i go with the good old, MA1 bomber jacket & neck snood with winter gloves, over the top of my rather airy alpinestars P1 race suit...i dont get cold on the body just fingers & toes .... on the gixxer i never ever got wet other than gloves & jacket, on the bandit my legs get a tad damp but hang up the suit & its dry for the morning!

But some of us are just all about what blokes used to be!! MEN! not tarts in winter warmers!! :laugh1

I wear my summer glothes ALL year round...and to be honest...im mostly warm all year round...one of of those crazy persons you see wearing long shorts and a t-shirt in the winter! Im still just wearing my leather bottems on my bike...with nothing but boxers and skin underneith .....and to be blatently honest...i would probs be wearing my leather top if it actually FIT me! lol but unfortunatly...taking the girlfriend out for constant meals and such-gives you a rather rounded mid section! hahahah...The thermal top was given to me FOC from work.....Never turn down free stuff! and it means i dont have to wear a gay fleece at work...i can just wear my thermal top with t-shirt over it! End of story! lol

Hark at you children! I got myself some thermals from a camping shop. Skin2000 they are BRILLIANT. Very attractive Long Johns and Long Sleeve Vest! Add to that a fab Bikers Windstopper Balaclava and I'm sorted for the winter.

The heated grips are going on Gertrude this weekend so that will be even more toasty.

Get yourself a good base, mid and outer and youre sorted!

Im a walking streak of ****, yet im toasty this time of year coz i use my snowboard base layers, then a decent mid (usualy a nice jumper or fleece) then my outer layer!
