Howdy people...some more advice needed please.
I'm looking at getting some stompgrips for my TLR tank. I wanted to check if anyone using them has noticed the inside legs of their leathers gettin worn to any extent by the 'grips?? Just I've got a spanking new suit and don't fancy rucking it up so soon.
Also, am I right in thinking that my '99 TLR has the same tank as a '99 GSXR 750??
Thankyoooooo

I've had them on my race bike for two seasons and I can't say I've noticed any wear on my leathers from them. No more than they got from the tank alone.
Having said that though we don't the mileage you do on the road. To be honest unless you are doing trackdays where you're coming into corners with your backside already half off the seat there's probably not really much need for them on a road bike.

I got Stomp on the Gixxer and its bloody lovely. I havent noticed anywear on my Alpinestars leathers and I have fabric/leather on the inside of my knee were the grip 'grips', I dont get any 'snag' just grip.:grin2
Obviously there maybe other people who dont get on with it but its been great for me and the stuff is pretty easy to remove with a hair dryer including the residue.:jumping2
My main reason for using it is ****ty Suzuki paintwork and it protects the tank a dream.

The other alternative is stronger leg muscles lol

Trust me I can keep my leg locked in the right position...but thats no good when my leathers are trying to slip along the tank.
Cheers for the input everyone :laughboun

Ok in a straight line but doesn't work very well mid corner when stomps really come into their own. (especially for us creaky old uns.:grin2)
