Unfortunately to say i had my first and last bike accident last night my bikes a write off and i can just about walk,

For the meantime now i shall get a car as my mum and missus do not want me on another bike for the considerable future but i will always be a biker on the inside.

Sorry to here that, tell them that somewhere along the way you are bound to have an accident. Same as a car or a pushbike.

was coming out of asda car park when a car pulled out across me and i went into the side and then landed along the road and all i thought was that didnt just happen and my poor bike

Felt exactly the same as you did when I crashed under a lorry back in April.(very lucky)
Girlfriend said the same too but still riding after 3 offs.She nagged me to get rid off saying that I had a young family & this & that and so nearly sold it but I love riding bikes and personally think I would miss it..Intial reaction after a big off is to sell.

I know its hard to think about but when your all fixed up do get another bike or you will live to regret it.
My wife has banned me so many times I can't count but I would rather get a divorce then stop riding, even though on two separate occasions I've had bad ones.

really sorry to hear that mate, but if you want to continue to ride then dont let anybody stop you doing so! and as the other guys said try not to leave it too long. Just get yourself healed and well :)
