i've got a 98 gixxer 600 and when i sit at 5000 to 5500 revs for say the length of the 130 when i start to throttle on it seems to be running on only 3 cylinders then comes good when i rev the crap out of it.any ideas would could be wrong and roughly how much to fix,thx in advance for any advice.cheers damo:grin2

i am pretty sure you will find that is carb icing mate, what can you do, not a lot, but i think there is an additive you can get.

Pro FST additive, failing that if its a cold day try sticking some socks in the air intakes ;)

Mine used to do that when it was raining, just sprayed it with WD40 and it cleared up !

Silkolene Pro FST.. best thing ever invented. Had the same problem on my Srad, and cleared it right up...

Pro FST definately. Also by revving it when it tries to die you actually make it worse. Best cure is to turn off the engine for about a minute and let the heat melt the ice.

Had srad 750 with the same probs ! Unfortunatly they are renowned for it and as fall off said, feck all you can really do !

The sock trick is what I used everytime:skip
