my ninja has a problem starting from cold, i have to start it on full choke just by the button and leave it for about 10-15 min before i can ride off, in between this time you cannot rev it as it dies??? does any one have any idea why it does this
heat isn't getting to the carbs/needle to melt any ice that has formed on them overnight
i'd check the water filter on the carb heaters isn't blocked
also try pro fst (100ml-200ml to a tankful of petrol)

I had the same problem the jets get cold and also there maybe a varnish build up
spray some carb cleaner all around the carbs
Sorted it on mine

Pro FST is the answer.
It will also give trhe carbs a good clean out at the same time as preventing carb icing.
DONT rev it to try and clear it, it only intoduces more fuel which evaporates and makes the temp in the carbs even lower and actually creates MORE ice making the problem worse.

Does your choke lever slide smoothly? Have you had the tank off at all, maybe caught the cable when refitted?
