I am looking for a new cam chain tensioner for my 98 cbr600f and have seen manual ones available , does anybody know which is the better option manual or automatic and where I can get either one from?
Also I am about to balance my carbs , I have bought the gauges but it never came with any instructions i.e where to connect it all to and how to adjust it all
PLEASE HELP I AM BIKELESS AT THE MOMENT!!!!!!!!!!
Thanks in advance

I am the man for carb balancing, it is real easy once you know how, first remove the whole bank of carbs from your bike and then hold them vertical, very carefully lift them so that the end of number 1 carb is on the bridge of your nose, adjust the position until you can let go and keep them balanced on your nose without the aid of your hands, I managed to balance my carbs for more than 3 minutes once, hope that helps :rockon

I wouldn't even consider balancing the carbs unless i knew what i was doin, instructions or not... Always leave it to my brother in law..
I'm sure some think its easy, (if you know what your doin)
i'd buy an automatic cct ... saves you having to adjust it when it starts to get noisy
are you sure your current cct has failed...? have you tried just reseting your existing cct..? sometimes they just get stuck and stop adjusting themselves (automatic ones that is)
bridgestreet motorcycles will be able to order you one (doubt anywhere will hold a cct in stock)
balancing carbs
remove tank
remove left and right engine hanger plates
remove plug and washer from cylinder head intake port for no.1
remove rubber vaps from vacuum joint on cylinder head intake port for no. 2,3and4
attach the vaccum gauge to each intake port (no.1 may require an adapter)
re-install the tank and connect the fuel line (don't bolt it back on)
turn fuel on
start engine
set idle to 1200 +/-100rpm
check the difference in vacuum between each carb
(no.3 carburetor is the base carb, so balance to carb no.3)
use a phillips screwdriver to adjust the sync using the screws location inbetween each carb
snap the throttle open a couple to times to ensure the synchronization is stable
recheck the idle speed and the difference in vacuum between each carb
once sync'd... re-assemble
