I was looking at these not long ago...
http://www.alan-uk.com/midland/produ...46_radio.shtml Bluetooth has pros and Cons... Radio alone has pros and cons... But combined... Bluetooth connectivity with Radio distance communication and grouping functions.... What do people think?

My intaride system does about 5km - I used to be able to talk to my mate Clive on the radio across Woodham and through the houses. On the bike we could completely loose sight of everyone and still chat away clearly.

I did mean that each rider with a radio could be spaced far a part and we could all still chat happily!

The good thing about radio is the distance but you can't really connect GPS/Mobile/MP3 to it... Bluetooth you can connect GPS,Mobile,MP3 but generally the distance would be really bad... these at saying 500 metres which is very good for Bluetooth. But the other midland radio I posted uses radio to connect bike to bike but the microphone is connected to the radio via bluetooth.. So you are able to have: Distance Mobile mp3 GPS VOX and the ability to have VERY large groups of people on the same channel..
