Well, I think that riding a bike when you're pregnant is a personal choice. I won't go pillion on a bike or anything unless it is completely necessary and I have no other means of transport. I personally think that a car is safer in the fact that if you crash at 30/40mph the damage COULD be less than to crashing on a bike at the same speed.

I wont ride a bike unless I must. But thats just my thoughts.... now lets go back to the boys b1tchin

if it feels OK do it ... if it doesn't, don't.

To be fair it was posted in romford market when it should have been in the "LADIES" section..............so i say..do as you please with regards to riding when pregnant (although i would`t) and let clarky and jacknife rumble ......

my 2 pennies...

personal choice, though i agree, the majority would frown upon it.

i would respect the womans choice, if it was my baby though, i would be worried everytime she went out !

I personally wouldnt mainly cos I was the size of an african country when pregnant, however I did meet the woman who test rode bikes for men and motors a few years ago who was heavily pregnant at the time.
I remember thinking lots of negative thoughts about safety at the time and although she was obviously a brilliant rider she did comment " It throws you off balance when it moves around"
Food for thought!
But as others have said, your body your baby your choice!
And congratulations!

Well personally, I wouldn't carry a pregnant lady on my motorbike. Its responsiblity for a life that I dont want, so if i knew she was pregnant, she would not go pillion. End of.

Its about risk deduction, and its not worth the risk. Taxi, bus, train, all safer in the long run, and its only for nine months.

Yes its your body/your choice, however if you've been out smoking/drinking/riding motorbikes and it affects the health of the unborn, I wouldnt expect any sympathy.

I rode pillon all through my pregnancies. I trust my hubby (Burrell) and only stopped when it became uncomfortable. Which in the case of our son was about 2 weeks before I had him. It is a personal choice, however you must trust the other rider.

My wife quit riding when she found she was pregnant and it was her choice, no pressure from me.

I'm lolling! I'm actually lolling!

Now to comment...I think most people would have the same reaction upon seeing a woman drinking stella or smoking whilst obviously pregnant as they would seeing a lady on a motorbike...they'd gasp and mutter disapproval under their breath .

Personally I feel it is personal choice however I would encourage my missus to lay off the biking and I think she'd agree.

However I do think this country is far too wrapped up in denying people the right to choose what they do and taking the fun out of living by trying to bubble wrap everything and everyone...which is why biking and and extreme sports are becoming more and more popular in making people feel alive.

To be honest, things haven't been the same since they started taking the E numbers out of food and making crisps healthy!
